Come out and join in the celebration of the opening of First Ward Park tomorrow (Dec. 8). There will be music, food, hot chocolate and holiday lights starting at 10:30 a.m.
First Ward Park is the culmination of a joint partnership between Levine Properties, UNC Charlotte, Mecklenburg County and the City of Charlotte. The new 4-acre park opens across from ImaginOn: The Joe & Joan Martin Center, between East Seventh, Ninth and Brevard streets, featuring an interactive fountain, a giant chess board and extensive lawn space perfect for community events.
